The Meet & Greet is one of the most important steps in the PetSitter Express booking process. It is an in-person meeting between you, your pets, and your prospective sitter before any service begins.

Why the Meet & Greet Matters

Every pet has unique personality traits, preferences, and comfort levels. An in-person meeting ensures that:

  • Your pets feel comfortable with the sitter in their own territory.
  • The sitter understands the exact layout of your home and routine.
  • Both parties confirm alignment on care expectations and scheduling.

What to Expect During the Visit

  1. Pet Introductions: Allow your pets to approach and greet the sitter at their own pace.
  2. Home Walkthrough: Show where food, water bowls, leashes, cleaning supplies, and emergency shut-offs are located.
  3. Care Routine Review: Go through feeding amounts, exercise preferences, medications, and bathroom routines.
  4. Access & Security: Review alarm codes, gate access, keys, and emergency protocols.

Recording Your Agreement

Following the visit, the sitter records the contractual care details (clauses 4.1 through 4.9) directly in PetSitter Express. As a client, you can review and update these care notes anytime from your account.
